World Map Changes

Design changes were decided upon involving the world map that would make the interface more user friendly. This doesn't upheave the current code layout but does require a few small changes which will be made behind the scenes while an artist renders the new layout. Previews have been provided. The new design will feel more like a dungeon layout where players can not exit to the world map unless they are at the exit of the "dungeon". Travel times will still apply and will still consume items.

Next features to go in involve the finalized resource and inventory system, character stats, use of items, and finalized character creation. Following these the AI system will be implemented for "mobs" which will include the addition of combat.

In the meantime a website will be being set up some time in the near future to allow preview of some of the in game items and early account creation for a system we are labeling as "the longhouse". This will be a multiplayer feature to allow single player games to interact with players from other single player games though does not allow for online combat or exchange of items. Simply put it is more of a graphically interfaced chatroom, though stats such as player hunger and exhaustion will still apply. Items will be purchasable at the longhouse which will replenish thirst, hunger, and exhaustion. Money put into the longhouse will affect the player's offline town.

The project has had an official name announced.
